SAILHARD is a wear-resistant grade steel designed primarily for applications prone to abrasion. It consists of carbon (0.20–0.25%), manganese (1.20–1.50%), silicon (≤0.40%), along with small amounts of phosphorus and sulfur. These plates boast a minimum tensile strength of 450 MPa and a hardness ranging from 200 to 250 BHN (Brinell Hardness Number). While they aren’t intended for high structural loads, SAILHARD plates deliver impressive hardness and moderate strength, along with decent weldability and formability. These mechanical properties make them perfect for wear-prone components where both strength and surface durability are crucial.
