S355J0+N is a non-alloy structural steel grade defined by EN 10025-2. It generally contains carbon (≤0.20%), manganese (≤1.60%), and silicon (≤0.55%), along with trace amounts of phosphorus and sulfur. The “+N” indicates that the steel has undergone normalized rolling, enhancing its strength and toughness. It boasts a minimum yield strength of 355 MPa and a tensile strength that ranges from 470 to 630 MPa. Additionally, it provides good impact energy at 0°C (27J according to EN standards). These characteristics make it well-suited for welding and forming, while its consistent composition guarantees durability and structural integrity across a variety of industrial applications.
